Xochimilco is a longstanding Sacramento Mexican restaurant that just hits the spot sometimes! The service is very attentive, the food is flavorful, and dishes have large portions. I ordered something that wasn’t on the menu— a quesadilla with steak ranchero inside— and not only did they not blink an eye about accommodating me, it was absolutely delicious!!! There was plenty to take home later, even! I love that they have homemade tortillas, too. The restaurant itself might not be much to look at, but the flavor and value of an excellent meal experience is worth the trip!

This is a hidden gem in Sacramento. Wonderful people, great atmosphere and fantastic food. If you're in the area, don't miss it. They also have live music Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30. LOVE this place!

We have the best time at the Clint Ritchie Band and Friends. The staff handled this crowd most efficiently and professionally. The portions were generous as well as delicious. Update 2023. Just a ditto from our 2022 post. A really great restaurant and a truly entertaining Christmas show.

The food was delicious and tasted authentic… coming from a born and raised Mexican, this food was pretty good. They have tvs to watch games. The flour tortillas are home made which I love!

Excellent food, great salsa, Fresh Tortillas come with every combo, which is different from lots of places. Highly recommend.

Since moving to Sacramento about 10 years ago I've been looking for a place with good Mexican food. So far this place has some of the best Chile Rellenos I've had in Sac. I'll be back to see about the Chile Colorado and Chile Verde.

Moved into the area and found this gem of a place! If you Iike Mexican food, this is the place. Food is great! Service with a smile and so attentive. Generous portions and chips are made fresh. Piña Colada was delicious and prices so reasonable
